 What We Believe

HDR is our company. Together, we build on each other’s life experiences and perspectives to make great things possible every day. This shapes our collaborative culture, encourages organizational trust, and connects us closer to the clients and communities we serve.

Our Commitment

As employee owners, we all have a role in creating an inclusive environment where each of us are welcomed, valued, respected, and empowered to bring our authentic selves to work every day.

With every project, we ask the same question: what is our impact on the world? We are proud of the solid foundation of our history. We believe each interaction counts. We want to build a better future, so we bring our talents together to add value, promote growth and inspire positive change.

Our goal is to build an inclusive, diversity, and equitable company that looks like the world around us — and we want our employees to bring their whole self to work. As part of our efforts to build a company for everyone, we will build inclusion, diversity and equity into our work and we are fostering a sense of belonging throughout the company.

From our CEO on down, we strive to encourage an environment that accurately reflects the rich culture and individual differences of our local communities where live and work. We are committed to a company culture which employees of differing nationalities, genders, races, sexual orientations, disabilities and ethnicities embrace each other’s differences. As a result, we are able to combine creativity and innovation with technical excellence to benefit our employees and our communities and deliver one-of-a-kind services to our clients.

Our Employee Network Groups (ENGs) help create an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone is empowered to engage and contribute. Each group has an executive sponsor and is open to all employees. Our employee engagement starts with our eight Employee Network Groups (ENGs):

  • Asian Pacific
  • Black
  • Hispanic/Latino
  • LGBTQ+
  • People with Disabilities
  • Veterans
  • Women
  • Young Professionals

About Us

While we are most well-known for adding beauty and structure to communities through high-performance buildings and smart infrastructure, we provide much more than that. We create an unshakable foundation for progress because our multidisciplinary teams also include scientists, economists, builders, analysts, and artists. That's why we believe diversity is our greatest strength. HDR is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and an affirmative action employer.
