Battery Energy Storage System Engineering Manager
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- A minimum 7 years of experience in design, development, or implementation of BESS projects
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE)
- Understanding of BESS technologies as well as integration of these systems into traditional power generation and renewables generation facilities
- Written and verbal communication skills for a broad range of audiences
- Ability to effectively support multiple complex and time sensitive projects
- Ability to interact with clients as well as design and construction teams in a positive and proactive manner
- Technical knowledge to analyze and interpret technical data and documents related to battery energy storage systems
- Self-motivated and Team player
- Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office, especially excel
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture
- Ability to travel to support projects, meet with clients, or attend industry events.
- Consulting experience integrating BESS systems into client planning and decision making.
- Experience with developing power system studies, calculations, and models utilizing industry standard modeling and simulation software packages such as ETAP, SKM, CYMCAP, CDEGS, SAM, ReOPT, and HOMER
- Working understanding of the controls systems and knowledge of SCADA systems and energy management systems related to energy storage and distributed energy resource integration systems.
