- Gain real-world experience on exciting projects
- Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
- Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
- Assist with bridge design tasks.
- Contribute to bridge plan production and related design documentation.
- Assist with bridge inspections
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to assigned tasks.
- Collaborate with project teams for bridge related design activities, development of plans and construction estimates
- Participate in mentoring and young professional programs, engaging with company leaders and recent graduates.
- Perform other duties as needed
- Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering program from an accredited college or university. Been enrolled in structural design classes (i.e. concrete design, steel design)
- Strong interest in transportation engineering and infrastructure design, primarily bridge design.
- Familiarity with MicroStation is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
