As a Commercial Management Coordinator, you’ll be a trusted partner helping shape complex, high-impact water infrastructure projects that strengthen California’s water reliability, sustainability, and resilience for the communities that depend on them. You will support Project and Program Managers by providing guidance and assistance related to contract and financial management.
Support Project Management related mentoring and training activities.
Collaborate with a project team consisting of schedulers, project analysts, document control manager, project accountants and project coordinators.
Support Project/Program Managers to administer on-going contracts.
Support monitoring of contract documents and reviews for conformance.
Lead and/or support preparation of subcontracts for engineering, planning, and specialty services.
Review proposals and contract documents with a focus on identifying and minimizing conflicts and ambiguities.
Prepare correspondence and work with project coordinators and accountants to maintain records necessary to document the effective administration of contractual matters.
Assist Project/Program Managers to identify contractual implications of change orders and quality control conformance.
Monitor schedule for submission of deliverables and other contractual deliverables and certifications.
Lead and/or support development of weekly and monthly project progress/status reports.
Track financial aspects of projects and work with Project/Program Managers to ensure that work is completed within parameters of agreed-to scope, budget, and schedule.
Support Project/Program Managers in a proactive and responsive manner.
Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Contract and risk management experience
Familiarity with Accounting Software
Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in Architecture/ Engineering, Design-Build, P3, project management, or project controls environment
- Entry level positions are possible with a bachelor's degree in architecture, business, law or equivalent
- Ability to work well in a high performing team structure in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter; good communication and people skills
- Must be committed to quality and improvement and promoting HDR's values
