Environmental Designer/EIT
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Environmental, Civil, or related Engineering field.
- A minimum 2 years’ experience with strong technical focus on environmental remediation.
- Experience in field investigation and project oversight is plus.
- Familiar with remedial investigation drilling techniques and sampling involving different contaminated media (soil/groundwater/sediment), contamination (VOCs, SVOCs, metals, PCBs) and contaminant types (non-aqueous phase liquid, source control).
- Experience with CERCLA process and New York and New Jersey environmental regulations.
- Experience with CERCLA feasibility studies, remedial investigation reports, engineering reports, technical specifications and construction drawings.
- Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills.
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
- Travel to project sites will be required. A drivers license with an acceptable record under the HDR Motor Vehicle Policy is required
Preferred Qualifications
- EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months.
- AutoCAD/GIS experience is plus.
- Candidates who reside locally are preferred.
