Environmental Scientist 1
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Planning, or a related field
- Good people skills and ability to contribute to a positive, supportive, team-focused environment.
- Willingness to learn and work on a wide array of resource issues typical in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review of renewable energy projects.
- Strong technical writing skills are required; writing samples will be requested.
- The ability to deal with and communicate detailed technical information is a key requirement.
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem solving, and research abilities are required.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must.
- Experienced in MS Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications
- Candidates who reside locally in the greater Portland area
- A strong educational background and interest or experience in the regulatory/ permitting area
- Master's degree
