In the role of Application Administrator 1, we'll count on you to:
- Perform administration of production application systems under direction of more senior staff
- Conduct technology implementation tasks under direction of higher-level technical and managerial staff
- Provide problem resolution of production application systems
- Complete service requests related to assigned systems
- Perform day-to-day maintenance and troubleshooting tasks for production application systems
- Research, review and analyze system modifications/patches/upgrades for applicability to assigned systems
- Produce and maintain documentation for assigned systems
- Assist with packaging, testing, deployment and sunsetting of commercial application software including new products, upgrades, and patches
- Coordinate with Application Managers and product stakeholders
- Occasionally work after-hours and weekends to complete special assignments, changes, or incident response
- Occasionally travel for operational requirements
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years experience preferred
- Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019 OS administration experience
- Application packaging and deployment experience
- Commercial application troubleshooting experience
- PowerShell automation experience
- VMWare virtualization fundamentals
- Network troubleshooting fundamentals
- SQL, MySQL & DB2 database fundamentals
- WebSphere/WebLogic/IIS fundamentals
- Understanding of NIST 800-171 cybersecurity controls
- Familiarity with Architecture/Engineering/Construction operations
- Reputation as a reliable troubleshooter prior to escalating application service requests and incidents
- Active participation on a SME team that addresses application issues
- Active participation in IT initiatives that address application upgrades/deployments/sunsets
- Local candidates preferred
- This role is ineligible for Visa sponsorship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/MIS-related area or equivalent work experience
- Good communication skills
- Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner when providing support for customer problem resolution
- Self-starter with the ability to perform assigned administration tasks with minimal supervision
