Laboratory Planner
At HDR, our employee-owners are fully engaged in creating a welcoming environment where each of us is valued and respected, a place where everyone is empowered to bring their authentic selves and novel ideas to work every day. As we work to weave diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and foster a sense of belonging throughout the company and within our communities, we constantly ask ourselves: What is our impact on the world?

Seeking Problem-Solvers with a Passion for Science
Our clients live on the leading edge of Education and Science. We, the laboratory planners at HDR, consider ourselves lucky to work with them every day. We come from a diverse background of architects, educators and scientists. There is no one formula for how we got here, but we all have a deep interest in what our clients do and a passion for problem-solving.
Lab planners are the conduits between the end users and the rest of the design team. We translate design vision to scientists, and science to designers. We’re also in a position to have our ideas permeate throughout every aspect of our projects. Collaboration energizes us.
We are proud to be associated with some of the most advanced institutions and facilities in the world, including 33 of the top 50 Universities ranked by grant dollars received. Our work spans life science, physical science, nanoscience, engineering, and education facilities in all of the above. If a client has a one-of-a-kind facility, HDR is often the first to be called upon. Our clients want their designers to be able to think strategically about their unique problems, not just apply past experience. Staying ahead takes work. We invest significant time together reimagining the future of research and education, and how that will impact our clients, their projects, and our design thinking.
If you are looking to join an inspired team that focuses on what is next, not just what has been done before, let us know. We are looking for you, too!
