National Freight Rail Environmental Manager
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related discipline
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in related field
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
- Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Federal 10(a) Recovery Permit (TE-832945-7) to survey for coastal California gnatcatcher (Polioptila californica californica)
- California Department of Fish and Game MOU - Conduct Surveys for Southern Rubber boa (Charinabottae umbratica)
- Qualified SWPPP Practitioner
- State Water Resources Control Board, NMED, AZQED
- Certified Inspector Sediment and
- Erosion Control - CISEC, Inc.
- Certified CRAM Practitioner
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Avian (Bird) surveys and monitoring
- Fish surveys
- Habitat and wildlife inventory, and mapping
- Extensive academic background includes ecology, local flora and fauna, biology of ecosystems, conservation of natural resources, politics and planning
- Extensive experience with ecological field studies, including experimental design and the collection and interpretation of data
- Erosion and Sediment Control
- Mitigation Implementation and Monitoring

The expected compensation range for this position is $94.24 - $134.63 hourly depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.
