Rail EIT*

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Interest in the freight railroad industry.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CAD, and design software for layout and design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Intern or professional experience in transportation-related civil design (e.g., roadway, railroads or transit, or other linear corridor design).
- Experience with Bentley InRail or OpenRoads modeling software is desirable.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is desirable.
- Experience working with AREMA’s Manual for Railway Engineering and/or other railroad design guidelines, specifications, and criteria.
- Experience with railroad design and the railroad industry is desirable.
- Experience in bridges or structures design.
- Construction inspection and/or field experience.
- Successfully passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (i.e., EI or EIT credentials), with desire to obtain PE license preferred.
