Senior Biologist
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience conducting biological resources impact analysis and regulatory permitting in California.
- Experience with wildlife species, plant species, and habitats in Southern and Central California.
- Prior experience working with local, State, and Federal agencies including, but not limited to Caltrans, SANDAG, LA Metro, OCTA, SBCTA, and RCTC.
- Experience with southern California habitat conservation plans including the Western Riverside Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan and Coachella Valley Multiple Species Habitat Conservation Plan
- Applied knowledge of ecological assessments, environmental impact analysis, natural/biological resources management, and habitat conservation planning.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with GPS equipment and ArcGIS or similar mapping programs.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable technical writing/editing ability, and commitment to quality in both work processes and products.
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
Preferred Qualifications
- Federal and/or State permits to conduct protocol surveys for listed species (e.g., coastal California gnatcatcher, listed branchiopods, desert tortoise).
- Strong field identification skills of common plant species occurring in southern California.

The expected compensation range for this position is $116,000- $172,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.
