In the role of Senior Project Manager-Engineering (PART-TIME), we'll count on you to:
  • Work with junior, mid-level, and senior engineers of various disciplines to complete engineering assignments.
  • Develop unique solutions to solve problems encountered during design.
  • Develop and work within budget and schedule.
  • Prepare plan drawings, technical specifications, design documentation reports, bid quantities, and construction cost estimates.
  • Prepare master planning documents, including capital improvement planning for water clients.
  • Perform asset management and analysis of physical assets, such as infrastructure, equipment, and technology. Determine asset lifecycle. Develop and recommend cost-effective measures to clients for managing all stages of asset lifecycle including replacement, repair, upgrades, maintenance and disposal.  
  • Modify plan drawings and coordinate with AutoCAD Drafters and Civil3D Designers.
  • Perform site visits to confirm field conditions. Perform engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creativity to address unique elements that have limited or no specific code-based guidance.
  • Help drive our engagement and activities with water clients across the Northern California region.   
  • Will work independently as well as plan, organize and supervise work of medium to large teams of professionals and technicians dependent on project/task.  
  • Proven ability to mentor staff is desired.
  • This position will implement strategies that are effective in gaining market share.
  • Will be responsible to integrate systems engineering, digital delivery and management dashboards into the appropriate projects and work with PMs for implementing on projects.
  • Identifies key hires and work with Area and Business Group representatives to recruit new expertise.
  • Is responsible to perpetuate the delivery of quality work to our clients.
  • Engages in WBG discussions and participates in key reviews
  • Serve as the Client Manager for selected key clients and be active and visible in the industry.
  • Provide direct support to selected pursuits through client relationship development and/or through development of strategy, technical differentiation, and participation in related pursuit activities.
  • Actively participate in industry associations in leadership roles and serve as a company role-model in business and community organizations.
  • Develop relationships with senior leadership in key client organizations.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree
  • PMP certification

NOTE:  This is a part-time role 

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 10 years related experience
  • A minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
