Senior Environmental Project Manager
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Ecology, or closely related field (Master's preferred)
- At least 15 years of experience in environmental planning, impact assessment, environmental permitting, and/or NEPA (or similar studies)
- Proven experience managing the environmental investigations, Section 10/404 permit coordination, impact evaluation, construction monitoring, and mitigation planning activities for infrastructure projects
- Experienced in MS Office Suite
- Must be able to lead and participate in on-site field visits with agency staff and project teams requiring extensive walking in remote locations
- Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving, and research skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of NEPA and related environmental processes is strongly preferred
- Excellent marketing and business development skills in addition to contacts/relationships
- 10+ years of experience working in the western Gulf Coast region of Texas and/or Louisiana
- 10+ years of experience managing EA / EIS projects
- Experience coordinating environmental reviews with the City of Houston, Harris County, and surrounding municipalities and counties
- Professional certification such as a Professional Wetland Scientist, Certified Environmental Professional, Certified Wildlife Biologist, AICP, or similar
- Active permits for federally listed Threatened or Endangered species endemic to the western Gulf Coastal Plain, and experience conducting surveys, developing Biological Assessments, and leading Section 7 Consultation efforts with USFWS
- TxDOT regulatory and NEPA document pre-certifications
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial and technical aspects of environmental projects and tasks
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams to successfully complete environmental tasks
- MS degree in related field may be considered equivalent to up to 2 years of experience
