Senior Groundwater Modeler / Hydrogeologist
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor degree in environmental engineering, hydrogeology, or closely related field required
• 8 years of experience conducting groundwater modeling, working with modeling programs like MODFLOW, MODPATH, MT3DMS and model processing software such as GMS or Groundwater Vistas required; strong candidate with less experience and a directly relevant Masters or PhD and required experience in modeling programs and mathematical software with academic related experience in modeling will be considered
• Experience planning, developing, calibrating, determining uncertainty of and evaluating the results of complex groundwater models
• Experience with mathematical software such as Python, MatLab and R
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including a thorough understanding of hydrogeological processes and principles
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to task completion
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Masters degree in hydrogeology or environmental engineering (with a focus on groundwater modeling or hydrogeologic processes)
• Previous field experience collecting groundwater and geologic data
• OSHA 40-hour training
• Local candidates preferred

Typical starting pay range for this position is $73,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
