In the role of Transportation Intern, we'll count on you to:
• Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals’ programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or project manager
• Work under the supervision of a manager and senior environmental planners and scientists
• Take responsibility for assisting with NEPA assessments, biological assessments, environmental impact mitigation and other environmental compliance documentation
• Assist with coastal and climate resiliency studies and planning projects
• Contribute to sustainability assessments and potentially Envision or LEED certifications
• Assist senior and mid-level scientists in field work associated with the collection of data
• May use applications like ArcGIS and Google Earth Pro to help create map or resource information.
• Potentially, the intern will support dataset organization and presentation for client delivery.

Perform other duties as needed
We are looking for an intern to join us between now and the beginning of June to come on the team to help support local area projects. This intern position will support us in verifying and validating curbside information from existing datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prefer 2 years completed toward a degree with a minimum of 3.0 GPA
• Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to the field of study/industry
• Basic ArcGIS and similar mapping application skills
• Local Candidates Preferred
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
