Transportation Planner
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Engineering, Planning or related field
- 1+ years’ experience in multimodal transportation planning (co-op experience may count towards this requirement)
- Experience in GIS software, geospatial analysis, and graphical interpretation of complex data into materials for public consumption
- Familiarity with planning policies and guiding documents in the Greater Toronto Area
Preferred Qualifications
- A self-starter, comfortable working in a team environment
- Passion for transportation and transit planning
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in utilizing traditional travel survey datasets such as the Transportation Tomorrow Survey
- Knowledge of GIS, Adobe Creative Suite, Remix, and data collection methods and data analysis an asset
- Knowledge of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment Process (MCEA), Transit Project Assessment Process (TPAP), and relevant transportation/transit planning design guidance or standards an asset
- Progressive and innovative approach to problem solving an asset
- Fluency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
