The Transportation Planning Co-op will work with a dynamic team of transportation planning / engineering professionals on a variety of transportation planning projects including transit planning projects, transportation master plans, municipal environmental assessments, and travel demand modelling studies.
Your Role
Job responsibilities will vary depending on the strengths of the potential candidate and opportunities available but will generally include:
- Data analysis
- Travel demand forecasting
- GIS mapping
- Transportation policy research
- Intersection capacity analysis
- Transit planning and design
- Active transportation planning and analysis
- Report writing
- Data collection, site visits
- Public consultation
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an engineering, geography, urban studies, or similar programs with a 3.0+ GPA
- Eligible for the PEY program
- Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to transportation planning
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
- Attention to detail
- Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
