Tunnel Engineer
Required Qualifications
- BASc or BEng degree from an accredited university in geotechnical or civil engineering
- Academic transcripts showing university courses completed with good grades
- PEng with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
- 5 years’ experience in tunnel design/field work or geotechnical engineering
- Knowledge and experience in geotechnical site characterization and mapping
- Experience with Microsoft Office software, engineering software and video webinars
- Experience with civil and geotechnical design software such as CAD, FLAC, Slope/W
- Strong written and oral communication skills for meetings, design reports and technical memos
- Available for travel to other HDR offices and remote locations for site work
- Adaptable and willing to learn from senior engineering professionals
- Attitude and commitment to be an active participant of HDR’s employee-owned culture.
