In the role of Water Treatment and Planning EIT, we'll count on you to:
- Support conceptual and detailed designs of water treatment facilities and distribution systems under instruction from the Project Engineer
- Prepare planning-level analyses for water treatment facilities, distribution systems, and water resources needs
- Write specifications for water treatment and distribution systems
- Review and understand Federal Register or State Statute-level regulatory requirements for drinking water and advanced water purification (AWP)
- Assess water treatment facility and distribution system infrastructure for a set list of parameters
- Determine appropriate design methods, equipment sizing, and equipment selection
- Prepare presentation materials for clients regarding detailed and complex work products
- Support Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers on the development of individual subtasks for the completion of contractual tasks and deliverables on time
- Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree
Ability to learn complex spreadsheet-based calculations or models
Ability to support the development of Technical Memorandums on water resources, water treatment facilities, and distribution systems
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
- Interest or experience designing water/wastewater treatment facilities
- AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
- Microsoft Office experience
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
