HDR is currently seeking an Adminstrative Specialist to support the Area Operations Manager, Leadership team, and an Alaska staff of approximately 150 employees.

Primary Responsibilities

The role is based in HDR's Anchorage, Alaska office and will report directly to the Alaska Area Operations Manager.  Primary responsibilities include providing a variety of adminstrative functions including staffing the front entry desk; managing visitors to the office; routine phone calls, mail, and deliveries; scheduling appointments and processing expense reports for one or more executives; coordinating and managing meeting facilities and arrangements; compsoing and organizing materials for presentations or reports; addressing or routing information requests; managing vendor and building maintenance requests; inventory and management of office and kitchen supplies; managing and updating the internal SharePoint site; and other clerical or support duties.

This position requires an organized individual with stron communication skills and creativity.  The position will support a variety of groups within the office and will interact with each employee as well as clients and other visitors, so a friendly and flexible attitude is a must.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Area Operations Manager to advance initiatives related to the employee experience, will track internals budgets, and will suport a variety of internal groups such as Safety, Wellness, and Recognition.  The successful candidate will assist the Area Operations Manager in managing office actions items, calendar items, and task resolution.

The successful candidate should demonstrate experience with adminsrative support and the ability to meet dealines.  A professional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented individual with the flexibility and ability to proritize and handle multiple tasks in an office environment is desired.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of A/E Industry
     

 

Required Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in administrative support
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Word and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented with the flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of A/E industry desired
  • Experience working in an office environment
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
