The Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) team is committed to ensuring that HDR retains and sustains a high performing, diverse workforce by developing and implementing progressive learning and development initiatives. We strive to create solutions and strategies that are impactful, measurable, sustainable, and make a difference for employee and company performance.
We have an opening on the L&OD team for an Assistant Learning Coordinator. The primary responsibilities for this position are to support L&OD's core curriculum and to manage the logistics for key learning events in the company. The role is pivotal in enabling great experiences for HDR employees through strong logistical support, client service, and administrative leadership.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Add courses, track registration and completions, and communicate transcript statuses to participants through the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Generate and maintain reports in the LMS about a variety of topics
- Communicate course information to participants and act as point person for inquiries while responding in a timely manner
- Organize all logistics (facility, catering, materials, scheduling, etc.) linked to in-person learning events
- Provide insights into improving the employee experience, simplifying processes, and supporting effective and efficient delivery of learning events, often leaning on a variety of tools and resources
- Manage the department’s customer service email account, replying to a range of learning related questions in a timely and professional manner
- Create, edit/format, and organize course related documents, internal sites, and correspondence - or collaborate with an internal Graphic Artist to finalize materials when applicable
- Assist with compliance assignments, such as helping to maintain the global list of items, target audiences, communications, and associated expectations
- Create, organize, and maintain departmental files and records
- Act as a producer for virtual events using delivery tools such as Microsoft Teams
- Perform other related duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years of equivalent work experience
- Comfortable with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, learning orientation, and attention to detail
- Interest in communications and promoting learning programs, resources, and events
- Ability to stay motivated and client focused with repetitive tasks, while also demonstrating skills to pivot and reprioritize workload as needed
- Ability to work as an effective member of a high-performing team
- Experience with an LMS (or another type of Information System) preferred
- Exceptional organizational skills and an ability to handle multiple programs, people, and deadlines at once
- Ability to handle tight deadlines and make decisions critical to job success
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to work with different personalities and professional styles
- Comfortable working with remote teammates using technology to collaborate and communicate
- Aptitude for learning new software and associated procedures, while keeping process improvement in mind
- Displays professionalism and global mindset in all client interactions
