HDR has an excellent career opportunity in our East Region for a professional to lead the development and growth of our Condition Assessment Business Class. The Condition Assessment Business Class Lead will provide leadership to HDR's practice of condition assessment and system rehabilitation through building a resource network of HDR experts and trusted, specialized contractors to serve a variety of public and private water, wastewater, and stormwater clients.
In the role of East Region Condition Assessment Business Class Lead, we’ll count on you to:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive business class area initiatives.
- Coordinate, monitor, and improvement of technical competence of the area business-class to meet client needs and identify and anticipate market drivers.
- Participate in delivery of project services to meet or exceed client expectations. These projects will primarily be condition assessment but may include linear and other projects as needed.
- Serve as the area champion for identification and pursuit of condition assessment projects within the area.
- Coordinate with area business development team regarding condition assessment pursuits. May also be asked to support other pursuits such as linear projects and asset management, as needed.
- Be directly involved in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews.
- Participate in technical practice and professional discipline groups, project teams and activities to continually improve standards and best practices.
- Participate in strategic planning, budgeting, and plan implementation.
- Mentor staff in the region.
- Experienced with industry associations and maintains a visible profile in the market sector.
- Ability to work cooperatively with other area business class leaders, technical directors, operations managers, and marketing managers on business class efforts.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Strong client and project management skills.
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Good leadership and organizational skills.
- Existing Municipal, State, and Federal relationships to drive growth.
- 10 years water, wastewater, and stormwater-related experience including project management and condition assessment.
- Spirit of using science and technology to improve reliability of buried infrastructure.
- Committed to quality and improvement of the condition assessment practice within HDR.
- Eager to take on challenging projects, explore new technologies, and embrace HDR 's values.
- A strong focus on Health and Safety, and a history of safe project execution.
- Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field
- 10 years experience in related field
- Maintains a professional or Engineering registration and has related technical experience
- Experienced in development and management of diverse teams
- Works cooperatively with other business class regional directors, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts
- Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values
