HDR is seeking an Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our Solid Waste team.
- The primary duties require a detail-oriented individual who will assist the design team’s development of solid waste design and construction documents using local, state, and national standards for landfills and other solid waste facilities.
- Assist the Senior Engineer with site studies, site designs, contract documentation preparation and graphic presentation
- Perform overall site layout, grading, u.tility layout and drainage.
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
- Perform administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects
- Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- AutoCAD Civil 3D or other design software experience
- EIT certification is strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression within 6 months of being hired.

- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
