In the role of Alaska Federal Program Manager, we'll count on you to:
· Contribute to the strategic direction of the Federal programs resulting in continuous program growth
o Work with client managers to update and execute client plans
· Serve as client manager for select clients
o Understand and communicate client organization.
o Develop and communicate awareness of upcoming opportunities and pursuits to include new service offerings and ensure tracking information is entered into HDR Business Opportunity Tracking Systems.
o Ensure Client Plans are current and are being executed.
o Schedule and conduct periodic client management team meetings with relevant HDR PMs and Contract Managers and Business Class and Business Group representatives.
o Participate in management reviews as necessary and communicate periodically with Contract Managers to maintain awareness of HDR support to Client.
o Develop and maintain relationships in the client organization to best ensure awareness of needs, directions, and delivery issues.
o Periodically communicate with relevant parts of client organization to gauge satisfaction and identify concerns with HDR support, and coordinate actions necessary to respond to issues.
· Identify contract opportunities and lead/participate in pursuits and proposals as required
· Lead contract utilization efforts for select clients and contracts
· Identify and integrate small business teaming partners
· Assist in resolving issues on problem projects
· Assist in identifying and negotiating with potential Joint Venture partners
· Plan, direct, and monitor multidiscipline projects with a high degree of technical complexity. Projects typically are more than $5 million and involve leading a cross-discipline team to execute.
· Execute and deliver on multiple projects concurrently.
· Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with other project and program managers, appropriate technical professionals, and other functional disciplines.
· Coordinate staffing and workload through entire project development lifecycle to meet project delivery schedule.
· Work with HDR leadership which includes Business/Accounting Managers, Project Controllers, Regional Manager and Department Managers for routine project reviews.
· Implement QA/QC procedures.
· Supervise project staff and act as mentor for less-experienced staff.
Preferred Qualifications
· Alaska PE License
· 5 years federal project management experience
· Experience working with A/E/C consulting firms
· Experience with USACE, AFCEC, or NGB agencies

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10 years related experience
- A minimum 5 years project management experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
- Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
