Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer

Skills and Experience

• Excellent knowledge on national, regional and local rules and regulations on flood risk and drainage design including SuDS.
• Experience of writing detailed flood risk assessment and drainage strategy.
• Working knowledge on Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling softwares i.e. MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow etc.
• Good understanding of drainage design rules and regulations and ability to carryout drainage design from concept stage to construction.
• Presentation, writing and communication skills.
• Experience on Section 106 and Section 104 processes.
• Highway design experience including Section 278 and Section 38 process would be an advantage.
• Experience in the same or similar position is desired.
• Competency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
• The ability to project a positive and professional attitude at all times.
• Educational qualifications to a degree level or equivalent are desired. 
• Ongoing pursuit of Chartered status and business qualifications where applicable.
• Good knowledge and use of appropriate project and design analysis software.
• Personable and a ‘can do’ attitude with resource management experience.
• Able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients.
• To be able to work as part as a team and collaboratively and co-operatively.
