- Coordinating collection of project-related data, which may include research, interviews with government agencies and clients, map reviews, and land use.
- Conducting environmental impact assessments.
- Preparing, planning and analyzing technical studies, permit applications, NEPA documents, and similar reports/documents;
- Working as part of a dynamic team which may include technical experts (marine biologists, acousticians, terrestrial biologists, etc.), and engineering design team.
- Supporting permit application acquisition and/or modification;
- Establishing permitting matrix and sequencing tasks, coordinating workload and deadlines with project managers and technical staff, and implementing quality assurance/quality control procedures.
- Working with client, project managers, and subject matter experts to advise on schedule and strategy for permitting needs.
- Interfacing with client and agency representatives to support overall project success.
- 8 years of experience in environmental technical writing and permitting, and NEPA documentation.

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field
- 5 years technical and/or field experience preparing environmental documents
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Strong environmental writing and communication skills
- Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
