The Building Engineering Services Group (BES) provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site civil, structural and specialty design services for a wide variety of buildings that include public, municipal, private, and Federal project types across the region and globally. With a team of experienced staff in specific market areas such as Science and Technology, Healthcare, Transportation, Water, Federal and Resources facilities, we provide engineering excellence for our clients. We have an industry leading focus on sustainable design and energy conservation
- Leading electrical design teams for several concurrent projects.
- Coordinating the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multi-disciplined team throughout a project's development and construction.
- Coordinating workload to complete documents on schedule.
- Tracking the financial aspects of projects, coordinating and adjusting the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within budget.
- Conducting schematic, design development and contract document working sessions with clients.
- Establishing and maintaining client relationships, participate in marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems.
- Conducting reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
- Acting as a mentor for junior staff members.
- Must be an excellent communicator, self-starter and able to work independently.
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
- P.E. required.
- 10 years experience in electrical design of complex buildings is required.
- Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and signal design, including life safety systems and energy monitoring systems. Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
- Familiarity with Revit preferred. Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm required.
- Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required. Strong leadership skills desired.
- Experience in deign of electrical systems for large complex facilities such as Healthcare and/or Education, Science and Tech industries.,
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
- A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems); previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired.

Typical starting pay range for this position is $125,580 - $179,400 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
