Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Transportation/Traffic engineering.
- Texas P.E. License.
- 10+ years of experience required which must include extensive experience leading traffic projects for private land developers, DOTs, MPOs, and local governments.
- Strong knowledge of MicroStation or AutoCAD, Synchro, and Highway Capacity Software is required.
- Familiarity with industry standards (NTCIP, NEMA, IEEE and NEC), TxDOT and/or other transportation agencies’ standards and specifications is required.
- Experience must include traffic operations and safety; corridor studies, traffic impact analysis, highway capacity analysis; traffic operational analysis; designing and implementing traffic signal system timings.
- Experience managing/mentoring staff and providing technical leadership.
- Strong verbal and written skills.
- Ability to multitask while working on many projects at once.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Transportation/Traffic engineering discipline preferred
- Preference given to local candidates
- Experience with ArcGIS, TransCAD, VISSIM, or VISUM is a plus.
- Working skills with MicroStation and preparing PS&E plans is preferred
