HDR is looking for a Project Manager to join our Water Business Group in either our Charleston or Greenville office. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years' progressive experience leading design teams to implement water treatment and / or wastewater treatment projects through the planning, design, permitting and construction phases. They will perform client development and management activities to support our South Carolina Water Business Group team. They will need to be skilled in studies, contributing to multiple design teams, coordinating with sub-consultants and utility client staff. On a day-to-day basis, they'll also be expected to:
 
  • Function as Project Manager, taking responsibility for executing projects and managing / developing multidiscipline teams, utilizing HDR's business systems and project management tools.
  • Build team technical expertise and design production capacity through recruitment, staff development and training by leading and mentoring junior staff.  

     

  • Participate in leadership for technical service functions and support the development of HDR services in utility planning, asset management, and water/wastewater facilities planning and design. Some regional / national travel will be expected.

     

  • Perform other duties as needed.
Preferred Qualifications 
 
  • 10 years related or equivalent experience including project management experience
  • PMP certification

     

  • Local candidates are preferred

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 7 years related experience inclusive of a minimum 2 years experience in project management
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
  • MS Office and MS Project experience is required 
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
