Deliver Complex Health Projects.

At HDR, we're doing something different.

As an employee-owned business, our people don't just contribute to projects — they take ownership of them. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality healthcare environments while helping shape how project information is managed across our studio.

We're seeking a technically focused Architect or Architectural Coordinator with strong dRofus capability to become our studio-wide subject matter expert and lead the management, implementation and ongoing development of dRofus across major health projects.

This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on project delivery with digital leadership, helping strengthen a critical capability within our Architecture practice.

Designing for Better Health Outcomes

At HDR, we are driven by the impact of good design on healthcare outcomes, designing with empathy to create places of healing and hope.

Drawing on deep technical expertise and guided by a culture of care and shared ownership, we co-create environments that elevate the everyday and leave a lasting legacy – places that are, in every sense, extraordinary.

The Opportunity

As HDR's local dRofus specialist, you will provide support and management of dRofus across the studio while contributing directly to the delivery of major healthcare and education projects.

You will be the go-to resource for project teams, ensuring effective implementation of dRofus, supporting project information requirements, and driving consistency and quality across all project data.

This role combines technical architectural delivery with digital project support and will play a critical part in strengthening project teams across our growing portfolio of complex projects.

In This Role You Will

  • Manage dRofus project setup, administration, governance and quality control
  • Support project teams with room data sheets, equipment schedules and information management requirements
  • Establish project databases and workflows aligned with client and project requirements
  • Coordinate the integration of dRofus with Revit and other digital delivery platforms
  • Develop standards, processes and best practice guidance across the studio
  • Provide training, mentoring and ongoing support to project teams
  • Monitor data quality, consistency and compliance across projects
  • Contribute to technical documentation, coordination and project delivery activities
  • Work closely with architects, designers, BIM leaders and consultants to ensure seamless information management and coordination
  • Help strengthen HDR's digital delivery capability across healthcare and complex building projects

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Architect or experienced Architectural Coordinator
  • Approximately 8+ years' experience delivering complex projects
  • Strong experience in healthcare, education, science or other complex building sectors
  • Advanced understanding of project documentation, technical coordination and design delivery
  • Proven experience using dRofus in a project delivery environment
  • Experience setting up, administering and managing dRofus databases
  • Experience leading dRofus implementation on large healthcare projects – highly regarded
  • Knowledge of Revit workflows and BIM coordination processes
  • Experience integrating design information and project data across multiple platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and information management skills
  • Ability to support and train project teams
  • Highly collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to champion continuous improvement

Why Join HDR?

  • Employee ownership model – share in the success you help create
  • Opportunity to become the recognised dRofus leader within a growing health practice
  • Major project exposure across healthcare, education and science sectors
  • Collaborative culture with access to local and global technical specialists
  • Contribute to projects that improve people's lives and communities

Why This Role Is Different

This is more than a technical architecture role.

You'll become a key part of HDR's digital future, helping build and support a capability that is critical to the delivery of major health projects.

You'll combine project delivery, technical coordination and digital leadership, working alongside some of Australia's leading healthcare design professionals while shaping the way project information is managed and delivered across our studio. #LI-CG3

At HDR, you're not just part of the team — you're part of the business.
