Data Scientist
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- A minimum of 2 years related experience
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency and a minimum 2 years of experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Shiny, and Matplotlib
- Familiarity with both Python and R, with proficiency and a minimum 2 years of experience with one or both
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Excellent writing and people skills
- Strong math and organizational skills
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and various managers in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including grammar, punctuation, proofreading, spelling and telephone skills
- In-depth knowledge of machine learning algorithms, statistical models, and data analytics
- Experience completing multiple data science projects
- Local candidates are preferred
- Experience with cloud data and analytics platforms (Snowflake, Google Cloud/BigQuery, Azure)
- Experience with geospatial data and GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and packages (sf, geopandas, etc.) Experience and/or interest in transportation data analysis, especially in transportation planning, travel demand modeling, traffic safety, or electric vehicle infrastructure
