Electrification Engineer
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
- PE
- Must be willing to live or relocate to Denver, CO or surrounding metropolitan areas.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CADD software, Autocad and/or Microstation.
- Interest in transit and rail related projects; willingness to learn.
- Experience in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Excel VBA is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with STAAD Pro, SAP2000, LPile or RISA is preferred.
- Experience in MathCAD is preferred.
- Previous knowledge of electrified railways and overhead contact systems is preferred.
- Previous consultant firm, rail transit construction or transit agency experience is preferred.
General Working Conditions
This position is generally performed in an office environment. Employee must have the ability to stand/sit frequently and reach both horizontally/vertically as required. Light lifting (< 20lbs.) is required. Also, work may infrequently be performed at the transit client’s job site, construction trailer or right-of-way subject to train traffic. Work may sometimes require working in inclement weather, construction site, being exposed to heavy construction equipment and extensive walking on loose surfaces. Employee will be expected to obtain right-of-way railroad worker protection safety cards before accessing the client’s site. Adherence to HDR’s and the transit client’s safety protocols is required.

The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $90,000-$120,000 annually and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
