Senior Transportation Engineer (Roadway)
Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Senior Transportation Engineer (Roadway), we'll count on you to:
- Develop and manage project designs from the proposal through submittal of the final plans, specifications and estimate for medium to large highway/roadway projects.
- Mentor and develop junior staff
- Perform Professional of Record (POR) duties including but not limited to; leading/coordinating the development of project design plans, specifications, and estimates for all project disciplines (roadway, storm drainage, erosion control/BMPs, traffic, utilities, and environmental) involved in the project; coordinate with subconsultants, clients and other project stakeholders; perform and/or ensure that quality assurance and quality control is performed on each project design element; lead and supervise highway/roadway design team or teams; and, perform more complicated design work on larger projects.
- Perform other engineering duties as needed
Qualifications - External
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in all aspects of roadway engineering design
- PE required
- Experience with InRoads/MicroStation, Civil3D/AutoCAD, and GEOPAK or other transportation design software packages
- Microsoft Office experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated technical skills
