Position Summary
The Software Analyst I helps define, prioritize, and support the delivery of software solutions that provide business value. This role partners with business stakeholders, Product Owners, developers, quality engineers, and end users to understand business needs, document requirements, and support product delivery activities.
The Software Analyst I develops an understanding of product planning, Agile delivery, and requirements management while helping teams improve business processes and user experiences through technology and AI-enabled capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
•Partner with stakeholders to understand business processes, user needs, and product goals.
•Gather, document, and clarify business and functional requirements.
•Assist in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, wireframes, and other solution documentation.
•Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
•Support Product Owners and delivery teams with backlog organization and requirements clarification.
•Help evaluate enhancement requests and document business value.
•Support testing and user acceptance activities.
•Identify opportunities to leverage AI tools and automation to improve business processes and user experiences.
•Learn and apply product management, requirements management, and Agile delivery best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
•Familiarity with Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban.
•Exposure to user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog management.
•Understanding of Product Owner or product management concepts.
•Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
•Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or other AI-assisted productivity tools.
•Experience or interest in prototype design, wireframing, or visualizing solution concepts to support requirements gathering and stakeholder feedback.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in supporting the design and development of enterprise level applications following modern software practices
